Those looking to buy their first home should consider Thornton, Colorado. According to a study by Wallethub.com, Thornton ranked No. 9 on a list of the top 300 cities in the United States that were most attractive to first-time home buyers.
The study took into account 17 key metrics, including median house prices and real estate taxes, as well as price-to-rent ratios and median home price appreciation. Thornton scored especially high in terms of “Community Enironment” ranking.
A number of other Colorado cities scored high in the survey, including Centennial (No. 8), Colorado Springs (No. 13), Longmont (No. 15), Fort Collins (No. 18), Arvada (No. 19) and Westminster (No. 27).
